My 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT ves system had all the classic symptoms of a bad ribbon cable. When it played the middle dvd screen had no picture, but the system had sound and video in the front & rear units. I ordered the cable and replaced both of then for the middle and rear units. It was actually very easy. When reinstalled though, no change. Middle unit was still black. So, I checked everything (which looked fine) and decided to switch (just the screens only) to the middle and rear units to see if maybe the middle screen was just bad. The middle unit now worked, but now the rear was black. So I assumed it had to be a bad screen. The next day we hopped in the van and popped in a dvd...and no sound or video from the either dvd player (top or bottom). The player does turn on and the display shows it is playing, just no sound or video??
any ideas?
