[5th Gen : 08+]: Strong fuel smell
2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Just wondering if anyone know what the symptoms of a bad or faulty purge solenoid. Went into the garage this morning to an overwhelming fuel smell. Looked all throughout the van thinking i would find a fuel spill or leak somewhere.but there was nothing. Here is a picture of the part that i think is the purge solenoid.
Would it more likely be a cracked hose or a bad solenoid?
Any thoughts
Thanks

Usually the symptoms would be a "Check Engine" light. The P.C.M. monitors these components. I would expect a purge solenoid, evaporative leak or loose gas cap fault would set fairly quickly. Does it have a long crank before it starts indicating the residual fuel pressure is bleeding off? Otherwise a close inspection of the entire fuel system while pressurized is in order.

. Check rubber fuel lines and/or injector's nozzle. I had a similar problem few years ago on my old Villager.
