Default Blower motor not working

My front blower motor quit working. It worked one day then the next nothing.

I checked the voltage at the resistor and at the fan plug.
I have power at the resistor and ground where it needs to be .

I checked voltage at the blower and had 12 volts then when I switch the fan speed the
voltage fluctuated down to 5 volts.

I've removed the fan and resistor the fan works when 12v is put directly to it as well
As working with 12v put directly to the resistor power wire.

Only thing I can think left is a bad switch any suggestions are greatly appreciated

My friend had a 2000 Dodge Stratus that did the same thing when he tried to turn on the A/C and nothing happened. Turned out to be the switch. Picked up another from the junkyard and it worked again.
