I'm looking to purchase a used dodge caravan 2001 from someone online and I was told the serpentine belt needs to be put back on and that it also needs a water pump. I'm not to good at working on cars I have never owned one before. The only reason I'm looking into this van is because of the price and the 2 problems seam easy enough to fix. My uncle would more then likely have the parts to fix the van but I was wondering on how to fix the problems.

This will be kind of a project for me to fix. But I think my uncle would not mind helping me out with it. He works on local race cars in the summer and fall. He works on 4 or 5 a year. For our small local track. So I know he has lots of parts and he has worked on vehicles for years just not to sure if he knows much about vans.

Can anyone give me some pointer on how to fix these 2 problems.
