Hello, I have been having issues with my 2000 grand dodge caravan 3.8L I received from my mother (not drivable when I received it due to several issues)

I have a "door ajar" light on, I managed to eliminate power issues in the front, and all 4 plungers work fine. I was confused when it came to the sliding doors. It was already difficult to pull the pungers out but my multimeter leads do not fit in order to check for power. I will have to check again in the morning, but I was wondering if the liftgate could be causing issues with the door ajar ordeal.

Any advice would be very much appreciated as I am more of an electronics hobbyist than a mechanic. :P.
