I have a slight leak from the fuel pressure regulator. I see that there is a pressure relief valve on the fuel rail is this to attach a hose to drain it ?. can I just press this to relieve the pressure in the rail and how much fuel will generally come out ? I believe a gasket is leaking in the regulator so I need to replace it before it really leaks. whats the probability its just a gasket ? does any gasket sealer need to be used ?thanks

 

Wrap a rag around it and push it. A small amount of fuel will come out. But if you have a leak, it's probably no pressure anyway.

 

this is a very,very,very minor leak. that's why I need to fix it before it starts gushing,
