Thank you for this great forum!
I have Grand Caravan 2016 SXT with 95000km
At 93000 kms lost transmission due pump failure .
Was replaced free of charge by Dealer
After 2000 kms I got CEL P0219

Anyone got an idea what could cause this P0219 Engine Overspeed Condition ?
How much will it cost to repair ?

Causes for this P0219 transmission code may include:

• Driver error from deliberate or accidental over revving of the engine
• Defective CKP or CMP sensor
• Bad transmission input or output speed sensor
• Open or shorted circuit in the CKP, CMP, or transmission input/output speed sensor system
• Faulty PCM or a PCM programming error

Need to find the cause in order to determine the correct repair path and cost associated.

I just took an apointment with the dealer for tomorrow .
Hopefully it will be related to the transmission . Just to scan the code and find out the issue hope not to pay for that .

I will keep you posted tomorrow as soon as I have updates.

Hi

Dodge dealer found out a faulty valve lifter on the engine !
I'm surprized ! Usually valve lifters makes a ticky sounds if I'm not mistaken .
Anyway , they said it will be covered by the warranty .
They promised to give the car back tomorrow morning.
