You can google online tire size calculators and see for yourself the difference in sizes for different size tires.

I have 235/55 18s. They fit well.

tires are the same height, just a little wider. but I was just wondering if theyd hit the struts or not on the inside of the tires. I thot about going with the 235s as well, but I like the look of the 245s. when ive put my van on the hoist, theres about an inch and a quarter between the strut and tire on the 225/18s ive got on it now. but the rims ive got are 8 inches and the 225s look fine, but just not quite the way id like.

I think those should be fine with 245s.

The wider you go the more problem you will have in rain or snow as the tires will act like snowboards with very little traction
