Default A/C Oil Needed or Not???

I am hoping someone can help me past this bump in the road. I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with Rear A/C.

According to one site, I need a total of 13 ounces of PAK 46 oil in my system.

According to another site, I need a total of 7.4 ounces of PAK 46 oil in my system.

One thread on another site follows this discussion at length and its conclusion seems to be go with the 7.4 ounces for the total needed in the system.

BUT:

On top of this confusion, my newly purchased compressor states on the yellow label, "This compressor is filled with 5.4 .oz of PAG 46 oil. Add 4 MORE fluid ounces PAG 46 oil for vehicles equipped with rear A/C."

That would put the total oil needed to be around the 13 ounce mark. Not to thread a rope through a needle's eye, but am I missing something simple in all of this.

In my system, I added .8 oz to the dryer; and added about 1.5 oz or so to the condenser. I figure there is oil in the evaporator which some sites suggest there is about 20% of the total. If the compressor has 5.4 oz where does that leave me? Do I really need to add any? I am all set to vacuum the system down and get the show on the road. But if I have to add oil, I would image this would be the best time.

Thanks for your advice!
