[4th Gen : 01-07]: gas smell help
I have a 2005 dodge grand caravan. Belt squeaked so I removed the air intake, wipers assembly so I could see all the pulleys better. Issue was a loose bolt on the tensionor pulley.
Anyway, while I had the van ripped apart I replaced the spark plugs, and wires. Put it all back together the same way it came apart. Had to get gas, and ever since I got gas when the van is stopped at a stop light or stop sign with the a/c running I smell gas. A/c Turned off you don't smell anything. I tried the recirculating a/c button, and same results.
Not sure how the gas smell is getting inside with the a/c. Anybody have suggestions? I ripped it all apart again, and made sure all the spark plugs are tight, but thats not the issue. Not sure where else this smell would be coming from.
