nafta requies 75% of vehicle parts to be made in North America. the remaining 25% can be made from "foreign" countries. the manufacturers make parts in mexico to pay cheaper wages.
in 2006, the Japanese felt the same as you...all their 2.5l engines made in Tennessee burned oil...all the 2.5 made in japan were ok.

He was not talking about TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor), he was talking about the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) (the computerized fuse box) it has been problematic on many FCA vehicles.

TIPM are designed by FCA engineers and assembled by robots the parts are from Japan supplier Omron a global electronic giants. Not all Mopar parts are from Mexico I bought a blend door actuator at the dealer. It had a nice Mopar original part logo on the packaging written below made in China I don't think nafta is the problem here it's more of a global market and the quality of parts specified by the engineers.
