[5th Gen : 08+]: 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan
I have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT where both sliding doors and rear hatch have stopped responding to the remote open/close buttons, or at the very least take multiple attempts to get a response.
The console open/close buttons work just fine.
I have purchased two new remotes and the dealer reprogrammed them and I've also purchased new batteries in town locally just in case.
The rear lights used to blink when I would click the rear hatch open/close button and both blinkers would flash inside to signify a signal, not anymore.
To make this more interesting I can lock/unlock the doors just fine both from the remote and the console. Manually I can open all the doors without issue.
My mechanic said maybe the motor or broken door cables but then wouldn't the console buttons not respond as well?
I'm guessing something with the key fob receiver but does it receive the locks and opening signals the same or separate?
Please advise as I'm lost on this one.

What I have discovered so far is that if I push the remote buttons about six times (more than the double tap at least) then the sliding doors and hatch do open. I have the console switch toggled so that I can manually close them which is faster than pushing either of the new remotes multiple times.
Another notice I've seen is the rear tail lights mysteriously stopped blinking about the time I got the new remotes added at the dealer. I found a programming technique of unlock five seconds then simultaneously press lock but that doesn't seem to work for this vehicle. Is there a different technique that works for a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT? Thanks.
Both of my remotes are brand new and were added to my vehicle 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT by the dealer. The reason I purchased new fobs was because the sliding and rear hatch were having a hard time responding to the remotes however flawless by the console buttons. On the remote I press the buttons 6+ times and they usually open when it used to be a double press. However I also noticed the rear tail lights no longer blink in confirmation. Is there a way for me to re-program the rear tail lights? Would this help solve the remote issue?
