How new? Why do you need to add it? Are you having issues? On an older car I would go with Seafoam products.

I guess it come down to personal preference on how much money you're willing to pour down your tank with the additional cost of the cleaner. If you feel better doing it you won't harm anything. Just like some people using premium gasoline in an engine design to run on regular 87 octane there's absolutely no benefit in using premium gas. Today gasoline has to have detergent additives to meet the government standards and especially if you're buying a top quality brand gasoline like the Top Tier rated ones.
