Default Inner tie rod replacement

I got https://m.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/tie-rod-end/duralast-tie-rod-end-es80645/252977_10302_4988?location=

I got 2 of those, and they say pre greased. So I just slip the old boot over if it's not cracked, and add no grease?

Trying to do inner and outer tie rods tomorrow. Routers are easy, but never did the winners before. I know I need an alignment afterwards which I plan on doing.

does not need to be greased. use loc-tite where the inner tie rod threads connect to the steering gear. if a plastic lock/spacer is present on the old inner tie rod...transfer it in the same orientation.

to get the alignment close...before you start...jack up both sides and put on jackstands. mark a fixed point on both tires...measure the distance from tire to tire and record this measurement. change one side and put the tire on...reset the toe to match the original reading....repeat on the other side

Thanks for the fast reply. I did the passenger side, and went to do the drivers side which a plastic spacer fell out so I remembered I had to get that in. Than I went back to the passenger side, and found the spacer still attached to the old tie rod. It was a pain, but I rather do it the right way so I removed it again, and put the spacer in.

The steering wheel stays straight for a long period of time when driving, and it looks perfect. Thanks for all the help.
