[5th Gen : 08+]: 2012 Rack & Pinion needs replacement

Here’s the images.

This is the front motor mount (#3) - you only need to remove the through bolt.




This is the fore-aft crossmember - it’s what the front motor mount attaches to.



This is how the rack needs to rotate to be removed/installed from the driver side.



To bleed PS system:

1) With wheels still off the ground - Fill reservoir to max level mark with fluid. Engine off, turn wheel stop to stop 5 times. Refill reservoir. Turn wheel stop to stop 5 times again. Repeat this until the fluid level no longer drops and the resistance of the steering wheel feels even when turning both directions.

2) Start engine and turn wheel stop to stop at least 10 times, pausing for about 1 second at each stop. Shut off engine and check fluid level. If it hasn’t dropped below the minimum mark, top it off and put the wheels on the ground. Test for proper bleeding by starting the engine and turning the wheel stop to stop. If the pump doesn’t groan/whine excessively and steering effort is normal, go for a test drive.
