[5th Gen : 08+]: Warranty claim denied on 2019 GC with 17k km
Well, let's see how the CAMVAP case goes. I don't even care much about the repair itself, I can totally afford to buy a panel from Mopar and install it myself(less chance of someone/dealer breaking something in the process). At this point I just want FCA/dealer to admit their mistake/refusing the warranty for no valid reason. I bought a brand new product from FCA with the cost of the warranty included and I don't like to be bullied by them. I am hoping this post may help someone deciding between FCA product and others. I was deciding between Sienna and GC a year ago and since I already have Jeep Commander which I like a lot I wanted to give FCA a chance but obviously this was a wrong decision and now I regret.
My advice is go back to the dealer and tell them you're going to the media with CTV on your side they'll take the case on your behalf and contact the dealer and FCA for an on camera interview to ask them to explain the reason they won't honor their warranty on your claim.
In the early 80's I bought a new vehicle in January in April when it became possible to wash and wax a vehicle I notice some paint imperfections all over especially on the horizontal surfaces the trunk. hood and roof. Contacted the dealer (my salesman) brought the car in to the bodyshop the foreman (which considered an A-Hole) after his inspection try to tell me it was caused by wind damage. I asked him how come I'm the only one with this problem and how many insurance claims due wind damage was in their shop he didn't answer. Then I went to see the manager who sided with his foreman he told I should contact my insurance I told him no I'm going to the National level that they were just a franchisee and was going over their heads. When I contacted the National Head Office told my story to a customer representative he made me an appointment to meet with the Regional rep upon his inspection they repainted my car and gave me a dealer company car for the 2 weeks it took to fix mine.
Don't give up keep pressuring them to make it right it's pretty stupid for them not to warranty part that only cost about a couple of hundred dollars that's pretty cheap to keep their customers happy.
