What is this purple wired connector with rubber end and tiny female two slot plug supposed to be connected to? I was cleaning under the hood and saw the wire hanging between the battery and fuse box. I cannot see anything obvious indicating where it should be plugged in. Your help is appreciated.

 

That maybe for the battery temp sensor under the battery, plugs into the sensor on the battery tray if you have one.
