Power door won't open - motor/actuator noise
Hi Everyone,
I'm having trouble with my passenger side power door, it won't open when I press the door pillar button or the fob. I know this is a common fault, It was never working (2nd hand van), except when I pressed the button it would pop open, but never open fully. I replaced the wiring track, and it suddenly started making a whirring/motor noise, followed by a slight clicking noise but still doesn't move. I just replaced the door actuator, and that hasn't helped. The main motor isn't turning, and the noise seems to be coming from the actuator area, so it is trying to do something. I remember a few years back I took the main motor out and put 12v through it and it turned, so I don't think the motor is faulty. This is on a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport.
Any ideas? Thanks
