Issue With Climate Control System
Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with the climate control system in my 2010 Grand Caravan, with a 3.3 engine, that I'm at wits end trying to figure out. When running the A/C after about 2-3 minutes the system will begin cycling back and forth between heat and A/C and between the defroster, then the front vents, and then the floor vent, and back again, all of this seems to be occurring at 10-15 second intervals, I've also noticed that stepping on the brake seems to trigger this as well.
I had to replace a bad water pump yesterday and now the issue seems to be slightly worse, though this could be coincidental too. I hear what sounds like a small vacuum leak "hiss" as well, I'm not sure if the blend door is vacuum controlled or not. I have been looking through AllData, Chilton, and Haynes and cannot find a vacuum diagram for this engine, I also am coming up blank looking at the wiring diagrams as to which component could be causing the issue.
There is an engine code related to an EGR flow issue due to one of the bolt holes in the block being stripped, however the vacuum leak I'm hearing is on the opposite side of the block somewhere near the throttle body.
Aside from a bad control panel or a PCM issue, does anyone else have an idea what might be causing this?
