You may need to change your oil if there's any coolant in it. How's the van acting now?

Seems to be fine for now... added very little AF and the reserve is staying between Min and Max.
Oil check is ok with no evidence on the oil cap either.
Still going to check every day...

After a month of driving I re-tested my van with my leak detector in the radiator and the fluid turned yellow again.
But it's been running ok, no loss of coolant, no overheating. Oil is ok.
Just doing around town driving, with occasional highway trip, but not many hills.
Could something other than a head gasket cause the exhaust gasses in the radiator?
I guess it depends on where the actual leak is located within the gasket....
Anyway, I think when I go back down to Virginia in 2 weeks, I'll look into doing the head gaskets myself.
I have all the tools, and hopefully the heads won't be too warped. I read you can just sand them if not too bad...

Pulled the heads today, but see no obvious signs of a head gasket leaking.
The large coolant passages in the heads on the passenger side were blocked solid with
rusty colored crap. The passages on the drivers side were fine.
I did notice some cross hatch patterns on some cyls like someone has been in there.
There's 200,000 on the van so who knows....
Maybe a head is just warped. Taking them to the shop tomorrow.
They'll resurface them for $60 each....

Had one cracked head between 2 valves. Picked up a used one. Machine shop took .006 of each one.
Got it running today.... started right up. Water and flush in it right now. Will drain and put fresh AF in it
tomorrow. I'll check for exhaust gasses once it cools down a bit.
