[3rd Gen : 96-00]: Valve body question
Hi, so I have a 96 Grand Caravan with the 3.8 v6. I recently swapped in a transmission from an '02 Caravan, because the differential on the original, crapped out on me. When installing the replacement tranny, I swapped over the speed sensors, and solenoid pack as well, because they had all been recently replaced on the old tranny. The transmission shifts pretty decent, but when I come to a stop, it feels as if I'm getting hit in the rear as it's shifting into first gear. I only feel this if I have my foot on the break as it downshift. If I let it coast to a stop, I don't feel anything. So I was wondering, if I swap out the valve body, would this resolve my issue with the harsh 2-1 shift? Thank you in advance.
so what type of scanner would I need? I've called a couple dealerships in my area, and they don't have the equipment necessary for the quick learn. I have the Zurich pro scanner from harbor freight, but I don't recall seeing an option for a transmission quick learn.
