Default 3.8 number 3 cylinder misfires

So check engine light came on number 3 cylinder misfire seems like a normal problem on the 3.8 except I already changed out the coil pack and spark plugs and wires haven't done the injector yet have seen a lot of videos on YouTube about wiring problems so I disconnected the two connectors on the left hand side closest to the manifold and check them out they seem to look okay anybody have this problem and find it to be anything else but an injector going to change out the injector today with another injector put it back together and see what happens I get a feeling though that it may not be the injector because it does it only when it's warmed up if I go out there and start it after it sits and it cools down and it's cold seems to run perfect soon as I shut it off walk away and come back and start it up it starts to miss this is why I think it's something other than the injector unless somebody else has had these symptoms and found it to be the injector any help would be appreciated

Not completely sure. I'm not an expert, but did have some misfiring problems with my '07 3.3L over this past year. Found a bad coil pack. It had the cylinder #5 metal post getting dark discoloration to the metal on it. Cleaned it up with a wire brush, put it back on, and not too long later, the problem returned. Looked at the post again, and the post was blackened once more. Changed it out, and that took care of it. With your situation, looks like that's not it. For starters, you may want to look at the wiring coming from the output of the PCM (powertrain control module) to make sure that there is no corrosion or wires disturbed, etc. That sends the signal to the ignition module. Also, since the problem acts up after it warms up, try this. Start it up cold, and use a hair dryer or heat gun to target some items. Turn the hair dryer on high, and point it directly toward the PCM to see if heating it up right after starting the vehicle and running makes it start misfiring soon afterwards. In other words, faster than it normally takes to go bad. This may help to whittle down the culprit. Hope this helps. Bill
