So I did something really dumb. I went to jump my Dodge Grand Caravan and got the wires crossed. Smoke was coming out of the middle of the dash near the radio. The radio no longer works. Everything else appears to work fine. I have checked the radio fuse and it looks good. I pulled out the radio and checked the wire connectors to it. They do not look black or fried. My radio will flash occasionally. Where should I go from here? What else can I check? There seems to be nothing visibly wrong with the radio, but I don't want to buy a new one just for the issue to be some wiring in the harness. Is there a way that I can tell exactly what part I fried?

 

I experienced this as well. It was the fuse in my case. Looked good but changed anyway and the radio worked. Hope it is a simple fix like that.
