Default How hard is it to replace the differential in a 2005 caravan?

My driver side cv axle is leaking alot of tranny fluid. Replaced the seals multiple times and still leaking so I took the diff bearing retainer off to inspect the cone bearing. I can wiggle it a little but I'm not sure how much play it has. I can also lift the whole differential up and down with my fingers. Is this normal with the cv axle out? When the axle is in ,it does have play in it. I can wiggle it with my hand. I found a remanufactured differential on ebay with both new bearings installed for cheap. Is it just a matter of taking out both cv axles and un bolt the housings and the differential will drop ? I can't find any videos on removing the differential from a 41te transmission. Any advice would be so appreciated!!

You don't need to replace the final drive or differential. Just the bearings and bearing cups. And replace the seals. Best way to make the repairs is to remove the transmission. It can be done in the vehicle, but is a pain.
