I just had the engine replaced on my 2008 DGC SXT. Knowing very little about engines, is there a quick way to tell if they installed another 3.8 liter and not a 3.3 liter engine ? I know the top plate says 3.8, (assuming that plate can be switched and I would be none the wiser), is there any other way to tell?

 

One way that you can find out. Were you charge for a flex plate and torque converter? Because the torque converter from a 3.3 will not bolt up to the flex plate or fly wheel on a 3.8.
