I have a 2010 caravan that is driving me crazy trying to diagnose/fix a problem with my driver door switch. I would really appreciate any wisdom that is out there. This is the loaded model with the 3 wire switch to door control module.

1. no PW/PDL or mirror functionality from driver side switch. Rear slide out switch works fine. All windows and door operate as normal from their switches. Tried 2 other switches with matching codes and no change.

2. Swapped a set of known good module and switch with no result.

3. Loom look very good, no breaks I can see from harness to door. I have 2 hot leads into the van, 1 to the door control module and 1 to the rear slide out windows. The three wire switch seem to have power also. I swapped in and out a relay (J4?> with no change.

QUestions... should there be more than 1 hot power lead to the door control module? IS there a place I can get access to the correct diagrams ( i have tried online with no success) . What do I try now?

Have you scan for any body codes? I'm guessing you have had the door panel off. Did you notice any wires unplugged? Then I would get a power probe and test all your circuits. You may have a broken wire in the driver door harness and you are not able to see yet.

 

No relevant codes, I was hoping for the broken wire in the loom but it looks good visually and the 2 hot leads both make it into the door OK. unless I can find the wiring diagram i am not sure if I need more than 1 hot into the module,

 

Do you have a power probe? That will act like a switch to make windows to go down or up with the toggle switch. And you can check power leads and ground.
