[5th Gen : 08+]: I lost my FOBIK for 08 grand caravan
I lost my key for my van, and I bought two new ones online. I can't afford the dealership or locksmith fees for programming. I use this vehicle for work, and it has been down for a week now. I've tried a couple different ways to enter programming mode, but as of yet have been unsuccessful. Can anyone help me?
I don't have the original key

You need to have the fob's program either at the dealer or a lock smith. I have a question, Was the ignition recall ever done? Because if it hasn't you would get two new fobs and ignition switch or module. You would have to pay for the valet keys for the fob's. If you don't know if the recall has been done, Contact your local dealer and give the the last 9 of the vin and mileage.
I know its an old tread ....but in case somebody has the same problem .... KeyFobs are like 10-15$ on Amazon
DIY solution -- .....step 1...Kingboleg for 100$ on Amazon is a scanner with key programming amongst other things ...- free APP - if asked for car PIN - see step 2.
AND Done !
step 2 - free app called "PIN Puller" - to get your car's PIN - if asked when programming keys ..... maybe able to use the Kingbollen Dongle with the PIN Puller app ...if not - see step 3
And Done !
step 3 (if needed) Torque Pro is a 5$ app on Google play ,cheap OBD dongle on Amazon - "Elm 375" type is 20$ - works with PIN Puller ....
Yes - the whole thing costs you about 125$ ....but you have the tools to make keys for any future cars you buy !!!!
