Default [SOLVED] 2001 Grand Caravan Sport 3.3 ltr intermittent ignition not starting

Every once in a while, when I turn the ignition, nothing happens... not even clicking; just nothing. I have gone under and checked connections to the starter - all good, then checked battery connections, and all good. I have done the computer reset holding the miles button down for a few seconds, and still no change after computer resets. I had wiggled the steering column and the key (No idea if that did anything, because I did that a few times before too, and no change) then suddenly I'll turn the ignition and it'll start right up like there was no problem. ???!!?? Also, sometimes the key gets stuck and I have to wiggle it, and turn it back and forth to get it to come out.

Sometimes, (I have no idea if it is really helping) I will get someone to give me a battery jump if I'm stuck in town, and it will start right up, BUT sometimes the jump thing doesn't help either....

She is an old Sport with 260,000 miles on her, but still purring like a kitten.

Any help will be SUPER appreciated; she is my only ride, and I am 20 miles from everything.

Thanks in advance,
Katea

Sorry, but the "Related Thread" here must have been put in here by a BOT, because it is not even closely related to my issue. If this is it, for a reply, then I am sadly disappointed with this forum.
I guess I had hoped for a real person to reply, and maybe actually help. Sorry, but this is really sad and frustrating; when all I need is someone to help me troubleshoot and solve MY issue which is NOT even remotely related to my issue.

I spent over an hour looking through this forum upon my sign-up, and searched for any issues related to mine, with NO solved answers, so this is why I started my thread. There are no threads with this, that are solved. I know it's proper etiquette to look and see if anyone has answered a problem like your own, BEFORE posting a repeat issue. YES, I AM INSULTED, and sad, because I still need help badly.

Well, after a few days, and no help from this forum at all, I did figure it out, at least for my issue. So, for those looking for help with something like this, doing a complete computer rest (basically bringing it back to factory settings) was the answer.
- I removed the battery completely,
- then connected the positive and negative terminals (no power, no battery) and zip tied them together to leave overnight.
- While I had the battery out, I cleaned it up, and kept it sitting on wood in the back of the van till morning.
- Next morning, I separated the battery terminals, put the battery back in, and hooked it up.

The van has been driving super, no more stalls, and no more starting issues... So resetting the TIPM was the answer, and it was a free step to troubleshooting and solving. Always start with the lowest cost, if you are unsure of your solution. Resetting the computer to the factory settings will never hurt your vehicle, and it just could be the solution to many issues. If that doesn't solve your issue, at least you know your computer is set back to specs for your vehicle, because those settings within can change over the years. It fixed my issue, with no costs of replacing anything.
