[3rd Gen : 96-00]: Cluster actung up and ac and recirculation lights flashing
Hey guys so i think i have two issues here. My cluster will sometimes work and sometimes not. Nothing really ‘ triggers ‘ it . Ill be sitting at idle and itll randomly turn back on. Also i can see the gear indicator flashing and flickers and sometimes the temp gauge will go down and up. But i noticed that when the abs light is on, thats when the gauges wonr work. So any input?
also my second issue, even after recalibratinf the ac module thing, my recirculation and ac light continuously to flicker. The washer and eear washer will stop but those two the ac and recirculation will continue. Also for the ac i hear a whining noice near the passenger feet and im assuming thats ssomething with the ac. Any advice?

The cluster acting up is usually indicating 2 scenarios.
1. Bad cluster solder joint
2. Some other module is faulty and overloading the CCD bus (the circuit that all the modules communicate to each other) and causing the cluster to go randomly haywire. A fault in one module can cause another module to not work properly.
First thing i would try to disconnect modules one by one and see which one fixes your cluster problem. (ALWAYS disconnect your BATTERY when disconnecting a module, especially AIRBAG module. This is for the safety of not shorting anything out and to not deploy the AIRBAG and cause injury)
I would start with HVAC (AC) control module since you have problems with it. Then radio and airbag module (under the center column)
Other modules are TCM, PCM, BCM, ABS control module, overhead console.
Let me know how it goes
