[4th Gen : 01-07]: Coil whining
Hi guys. I'm new here. Saying hey. I've got a unique issue I'm hoping someone has some advice. My 2001 dodge grand caravan sport. It sat for 8 yrs before I got it. The issue is that the ignition coil after the engine gets hot. The coil puts off a high pitched whine and the engine misses a little. I've had to replace the coil, fuel injectors, fuel pump, spark plugs and wires. Has anyone ever heard a coil sound this way? I also cut into the harness from the coil to the pcm and do not have a short or anything melted.

Replaced my coil pack on the usual tuneup and haven't had the pleasure of your coil Whine I do have the one cylinder slight tick and per my mechanic was briefed about it being a lifter Are there any specific conditions you find the sound appears or is it always after the engine heats up? What source was your part? Though I usually avoid any Dealer sources and use Rock auto when necessary and aNapa parts house when not . And at 190k I do have the slight miss. Tore it down to the Intake gasket and Injectors for renewal ( gasket) & cleaning ( injectors). And with a current severe medical situation I had to leave it at that point until my Wifes' health improved
