Hey all, thanks for your time. I have 2008 grand caravan 3.8 that was spewing coolant out of the reservoir. Never actually overheated, in fact the rad cap wasn't even hot. Radiator changed in 2019. I just changed the radiator cap and thermostat. I can sit and idle for 30+ minutes with no problems. If I try to drive a distance is when is starts smoking again and spewing. I'm here from Florida house hunting and need to drive around. Coolant sensor? I did notice droplets on the y tube opposite of the thermostat. All my tools are in the POD sent up here but I know I can borrow some but I need to know what I'm looking at. Oil is clean and no coolant cloud out of exhaust. I sure could use some advice and suggestions. Thank you .

 

How long ago did you change the radiator cap? Some of the aftermarket fellers don't seal real well.... May wanna check the oil as well, see what it looks like.

 

I changed the radiator cap just last month. I put the radiator in fall of 2019. Oil looks good and no coolant cloud from exhaust.
