[3rd Gen : 96-00]: Caravan driver side front signal light inconsistent.
Hello.
I'm Al, a new owner and new member of this forum.
My 2010 Grand Caravan has 80,000 KM and runs well.
My problem is the front driver's side signal light.
It works fine as long as my headlights aren't turned on. When my headlights are turned on; and I signal a left turn, the signal blinks normally for about 10 seconds. Then it starts and continues blinking rapidly until the turn is completed. It's the same sound that you get when a bulb has burnt out. The rapid blinking resumes immediately (without the 10 second delay) whenever I signal any more left turns during the same outing.
During any future outings when the headlights are turned on; again the rapid blinking resumes about 10 seconds after I signal a left turn.
I have replaced the bulb 3 times and the problem continues. All other signals work fine, under all settings and conditions.
During future outings when the headlights are not turned on, all signals work fine.
I couldn't find a signal fuse in the engine fuse box so couldn't check that out.
Anyone out there encountered or heard of the same or similar problem? If so, any guidance to a resolution would be appreciated.
Thanks, Al.
