[5th Gen : 08+]: 2010 van front signal fails while headlights are on.
Hello.
I'm reposting my submission here with a more precise title, hoping that it might trigger someone's memory of this situation.
I'm Al, a new owner and new member of this forum.
My 2010 Grand Caravan has 85,000 KM and runs well.
My problem is the front driver's side signal.
It works fine as long as my headlights aren't turned on.
When my headlights are turned on, and I signal a left turn, the signal blinks normally for about 10 seconds. Then it starts and continues blinking rapidly until the turn is completed. While the rapid blinking occurs the front signal lamp is unlit.
The rapid blinking resumes immediately (without the 10 second delay) whenever I signal any more left turns during the same outing.
During future outings when the headlights are not turned on, all signals work fine.
I couldn't find a signal fuse in the engine fuse box so couldn't check that out. A friend suggested that a relay might need replacement.. Perhaps I could switch or replace the relay, if someone could point me to it.
Anyone out there encountered or heard of the same or similar problem? If so, any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks, Al.

Thanks for taking the time to review my submission and provide comment.
I'm in Canada and checked with my local dealer about the multi-function switch. This multi-function switch (lever/wand) on the steering column is used when a left or right turn signal is being initiated. The part costs $360 and is not returnable. This is a pretty complicated and expensive switch, No doubt installation would be tricky and not without risk.
Any thoughts on relay consideration/location/description.
In the meantime, I will continue poking my left arm out my window in the evenings, when making left turns.

A solution to this problem was found on UTUBE.
A jumper wire was installed to connect the left rear signal light wire to the left front signal wire.
All works fine now, whether the headlights are on or off.
Thanks to those who spent time to consider my request.
