Default Third Caravan - Key Questions... 2017 vs 2019...

All,
Just picked up a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT (84K) to replace our 2017 Dodge Grand Caraven GT (182K) both in Red Pearlcoat.

The 2017 suffered a front end collision with a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. The 2015 was ~20 miles over the speed limit (~55) and ran the light with our van under 10 mph (pulling out of gas station). Engine and Transmission was dislodged from vehicle with the drivetrain taking a fairly decent hit. Air Bags deployed and frame damage and a large amount of transmission fluid was evident. The 2015 occupant was uninsured and assumed intoxicated from video of nearby gas station and light (city) survillence. The 2015 male driver appeared to grab a bag in his side door and fled by foot to nearby city park. The owner of vehicle was female and not at the scene. The 2017 vehicle (mine) was totaled by insurance about 10 days later officially.

So this brings me to the question. We have a series of 4 keys for our 2017 and only one for our 2019. Can I reprogram these keys 2017 keys for the 2019 or do I have to buy new. I am looking at buying a key programmer as my son and my brother also have Caravans. They seem to be around $50-120.for the programmer. I am technically incline (software engineer). Keys are cheap enough as I bought a set the last time on Amazon (40) and used them for almost 9 years. The keys are identical in design and functionality (remote start etc..both vehicles are GT Caravans).

Thanks,
Chris
