Default Resloved: No Heat After Replacing Water Pump

2000 Grand Caravan 3.3

The water pump was leaking so I replaced it today. There was heat inside the cabin previously with or without a thermostat and I had done about 8 drain and refills with distilled water and coolant. BTW, I'm running it with no thermostat at the moment because I wanted to deal with this first. Previously I could drive the van (water pump still worked, but leaked) and after filling I could bleed the air out of the system easily. Now, the temp gauge is at the normal mark, but there's no heat in the cabin and the spill-free funnel I had connected at the radiator was boiling over. It never did that before with the old water pump. Water pump is a GMB and went on perfectly, torqued to spec at 105 inch lbs. Can a new water pump do something to cause the heat to not work when it was working fine before? BTW, never got much heat out of the rear vents, but the front did have heat just fine before this.

The oil on the dipstick looks normal. Noth frothy or milky looking. The van belongs to this lady with no money and I'm helping her with free labor.

Must have had more air stuck in there after the water pump was removed for several days. I repeated the bleed procedure again and now I'm getting heat. Drove for 30 minutes and it's stable now.
