Default Help - 99 Grand Caravan 3.3 - Finding Starter?

Does anyone know where exactly is the starter located on a Grand Caravan '99 - 3.3L?

New used car and having problems.

Replaced my 92 explorer's about a year ago and it was on the drivers side underneath. But battery was up front on passengers side. G Caravan battery is on front driver's side.

Thanks.

The starter is located on the front of the engine next to the oil filter. Easy to do, about an hour to replace.

The starter is in front and very easy to get at. Disconnect the battery ground lead first. Remove the power lead on the starter, and snap the trigger lead loose. Use a 15MM ratchet wrench---one of those new fancy ratcheting box wrenches, NOT a socket wrench--- to remove the upper and lower bolts (there is not enough room for any other type of wrench). It will take less than 20 minutes. I just did mine over the weekend. Note that the metal gasket/spacer will only fit one way, and it will be a pain to hold it in place while you slip the starter onto the alignment stud. Good Luck! Matthew

Thanks,

Did it this weekend. Very easy to do. Unfortunately I didnt have a ratchet wrench, so taking out bolts took longer than normal. All said and done, about 2 hours. I did get an open end wrench on the upper bolt and also a socket wrench. Socket wrench was long to use. But it worked. Ratcheting wrenches are now on my Christmas list!!!

Thanks again for everyones help.
