Default Battery Drain

During the past 2 weeks I have had the battery drained for about 5-6 times on my Dodge Grand Caravan -2005.

Had the battery, alternator and starter tested by AAA and all came out fine.

Has anybody else run into this situation before?

Any suggestions to help resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

With key off, test each of the fuses for power drain with a test light. There are a couple circuits (for memory purposes) that always have power, but you might find one that is draining when it is not supposed to. A lot of times this iscaused by corrosion in the harness and it going to ground.

As floorslayer1 said, you need to do a power drain test.

Have you had the battery changed? Depending on how old the battery is a possible cause could be the plates failing during start up also possible loose or coroded (sp) ground to battery. When battery drains, do you have any headlights, dashlights or anything?

I have replaced the baterry.

All lights remain on, but the car will not start up until it is charged.

Corroded wires did that to me. Check inside the covering on the wires, my corrosion couldn't be seen easily.

I did the drain test this weekend and found nothing.

I looked for corrosion and could not find any. I will keep looking for corrosion. Any suggestions in this area to find the corrsion or is it going to be like looking for a needle in the haystack?

Thanks for all your help!

Have you done the power drain test yet? Electrical problems often involve lots of time and systematic elimination of various wires/circuits.
