Default Leaking Half shaft seals

Busted an axel 2 months ago vehicle was towed to a garage. I authorized to replace both axels. Picked up vehicle noticed axel tranny seals were leaking took it back they said one seal was leaking and replaced at n/c. tranny still leaks oil from the seals. Took it to my local mechanic, noticed both seals were leaking. He replaced both seal (from napa) This was done 5 days ago I looked at the floor this am seals are still leaking. 151,000 miles tranny replaced at 97,000 with a dodge rebuilt.

I had similiar problems with one axle shaft on my wife's 00. I normally buy at ADVANCE AUTO.
I put two seals in still leaked. Pulled their axle and seal and returned to ADVANCE. Went
to O'Reilly auto parts and bought their axle and a better brand of seal NATIONAL and that fixed it.
You can hardly find AMERICAN made seals any more. It could have been the axle shaft was machined too small
at the sealing surface. I did one side three times before it quit leaking. Hope this helps.

Go to chrysler and get the seals. In the aftermarket world its hard to find good parts, even if it says National on the box, doesn't mean that its made to OEM standards.

There are very few times that statement is correct, this possible being one of them. The National brand seals
have always been good to me just Advance doesn't carry them. I cannot in good conscious tell someone to pay DODGE prices
when the quality difference is very questionable. Example. fuel pump 160 at DEALER 301.00. You make the call. Obviously a seal shouldn't
be that much higher at the dealer. I would pay slightly more for the seal but I will not get bent over by the dealer to the tune of double the price.
