Im looking to put XM in my girlfriends 05 Caravan SXT with StowNGo. Looking on Crutchfield i have found a kit i think will work but they have a list of items to look for to make sure that kit will work.

What you need to know
» Vehicle must NOT have the factory navigation system. (CHECK)
» Factory radio must have a button labeled "DISC UP" and another button labeled "DISC DOWN". (CHECK)
» You will need to disconnect the external factory CD changer, if you have one, and connect the new adapter in its place. (CHECK)
» The factory radio must not have a built-in CD changer. (CHECK)
» Adapter plugs into the factory radio. (NOT SURE?)
» Factory radio must be "Satellite Ready". (NOT SURE?)
» The Crutchfield MasterSheet, if available, does not cover OEM integration.

The Van is 3 hours away so i cant look at it right now and its kind of a secret.
My questions are this: 1. Are all factory radios for 05, Satallite Ready? 2. How do i tell if they are not? 3. If not how do i make it Sat Ready? Do i have to buy a differnt one?

I would still like some answers to the first questions but looking further on crutchfield. Looks like this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5JXFXnE...0&I=209XMDRDS1 and this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5JXFXnE...D1000&g=247350 is what i need to make it work with a non Sat Ready Radio.

 

Do you have the RDS radio? If you do it looks like that system will work. If the radio is not RDS ready it won't work as that XM uses the inbetween RDS channels to broadcast the signal.

If you go with factory SIRIUS, I'm sure that any radio with cd changer controls will work.
