Heh! Neutral party here.
As far as a conversion, don't forget your master cylinder configuration, the ABS system and the rear purporting force sent to the rears may come into play, good or bad. Just sayin.
I have a 2005 Silverado and that was the year GM swapped back to drums on the rear.
I was shocked but test drove and then purchased the truck.
She is one hell of a stopping machine I tell you. And I just had to reline them @65k miles. The fronts got upgraded too and GM finally got it right.

Here is my version of a rear brake conversion. Sandblasted and caliper painted.
