Default rear disk brake conversion

Are there any rear disk brake conversion kits? I have 2000 Grand Caravan 3.8.

Probably can but why. Only about 25% of your braking happens out back. Don't you think that drums can handle that easily ?

Unless your just doing this for looks cause you slammed it with 22's ? If that's
the case your on your own.

The main reason is the stopping distance. I drove a rental GC that have the 4 wheel disc brakes and it stops better than mine. The sad this is that I only have less than 2000 miles on the brakes.

Those rear discs and I'll repeat this are not helping the stopping distance. Drum brakes were on the rear of vehicles for what 30+ years after front discs were installed on factory cars. You know why they are on the rear of most cars know ? The costs came down to where a rear disc setup is cheaper than the drums. The drums out back always could and still can do as much braking as
the rear disc. ONLY 25% of your braking is done out back on your average vehicle.

The advantage would be on higher horsepower sports for repeatability as the discs would obviously cool better than the drums.

You want better brakes, tune them up so to speak. Performance pads bedded properly will do wonders along with turning the rotors.
The rear drum brakes on the Caravan already has two long shoes in the back
which work very well.

I want you to understand what I meant. Up front there is absolutely no doubt discs are the way to go because the front brakes get FULL pressure from the brake system. If the rears got full full pressure you would lock up your tires or the ABS would kick in all the time and it would be unsafe to drive. So the factory reduced the rear pressure to approximately 25% of what the front gets and that is why rear discs are not needed.

You are an ignorant ***!
Disc brakes are better than drums no matter what purpose
the vehicle serves. who are you to try discouraging anyone
from doing what they want to their vehicle?
Obviously you are, but not all ofus can be
content with just good enough.
Man! you are a leading jackass

I don't see why the disc stub axle would not bolt on in place of the drum. If anything, see if you can find a complete rear axle.
you should also check if you can use your current MC.

Newday,

You clearly don't have any mechanical background or experience do you ?

Just because you read something on the net your an expert. Go ahead waste your time putting rear disks on a minivan and we'll laugh ourselves silly at your dumbass. MOE-RON

PS...Why don't you put NOS on there too

I'M sorry i just have to comment on this since "jetmeck" obviously doesn't have any mechanical background either since a vehicle has abs on it that vehicles brake system works all together and all brake are equally positioned at 25% breaking power since the the vehicle doesn't lunge forward in braking. thus disks would be more efficient
