Yea so 6000 people ordered the 2009 Challenger?
What makes yeaaaaa think any will get the car????
A dealer will get his allocaton to sell on his lot.
Now if the lucky ones went to a very big dealer that sells lots of cars then maybe you might see a challenger?
Now the small dealers I feel will NOT see any challengers at all,they will not have a allocation for them.

My feeling that there will be many Basic Hemi Challenger Rts that will be selling as much or less as the charger rt is selling for.Yes I feel you can get a 2009 Challenger at INVOICE if you look a tad.
I am sure if you hit the dealer at the right time you will get the 2009 Challenger at invoice or a tad over it?
I feel you have to be NUTS to order a Challenger?
You might have to wait over a year and have to REORDER one as a 2010 Challenger?
You will feel like you were taken because the dealer you have ordered from will have Challengers
for sale and you will still be waiting in LIMBO for a build date.....................JT

 

Production of the limited run 2008's has just been increased to 10,000 units...

 

My dealer sells allot of cars. Biggest in the north east. They have 4 cars coming and they sold in 21 min monday am. I have my deposit on the first hemi orange srt8. Two are black and a silver. There only taking a huge deposit. They would not take less then a 5 figure deposit. There serious about this. Other dodge dealers in the area are getting One orNone. The one other dealer who thinks they can get 1 only wants a 500 dollar deposit.
Now the waiting starts, but i have been waiting since 2004 when they first showed off the challenger concept.

 

Yep you and 6000 PLUS can put deposits on the newest Challenger...................
Does not mean you will ever see the car........
I had the same problem,I ordered a Stang GT and waited 6 months and still no car,BUTTTTT
the dealer was getting Stang Gts for his stock to sell at inflated prices over Msrp.
Even if the dealer gets the car,He might just make the Challenger $10,000 over msrp,you don't like it,you will not have to buy it....
I am sure many will say that they will get a Challenger at MSRP when they ordered the car,we will see how many UNHAPPY people there will be when the dealers gets the cars in.....
I would never ever order a car again....
I will wait till they come out,even if I call a hundred dealers I am sure I will be able to get a Challeneger below MSRP thats if you want to look....
But for the ones that have ordered one(good luck}
Dealers will have a few to sell on their lots,but the ones that have been ordered might have to REORDER for the year after.......................Let me know if I am wrong,don't believe everything your dealers says......JT

 

I had money down for a long time, butthis mondayi put the last bit in, and got tuns of paperwork. Me and the other 4 people 2 of which are the owner and his son are going to be present when the cars come off the tailer. The dealer is documenting it and 3 news channels in the area are slated to be there. There making a huge deal out of it. I also got some nice wear from them and some other goodies as well as free passes to the detroit auto show, and our local auto show.
They also am great friends with my salesman, he said today dodge suposedly is making 10,000 challengers? I know how these srt8 cars run as i just sold an srt8 super bee charger. That car was fun.

I just see how many dealers will screw people once the car comes in.(they jack the prce up}
I am going to wait till they come out on the dealer lots,no ordering.
I just don't believe that dealers will see many of these cars?
So what we are all saying is that if 6000-10,000 peopleORDER the newest Challenger.
That the dealers will have NONE to sell on their lots???
I believe dealers will get the Challengers on their lots first and then Mopar will make a few for the orders.......
Thats the way I have seen it done with the 2005 and 06 Stang GT mustangs......JT

 

Ill have one, and ill post the pics. My buddy just orderd a new bulit mustang as well. So this looks like the summer of fun.

Good for you! The difference in what you're describing is that it sounds like your dealer actually gives a damn about making the car happen and memorable for you...wanting to be there when it shows up, etc. That cool and unique. I've been to 3 dealers and 2 did not even know it was available yet!! Hang in there, hound them a few times and post the pics!

 

If you put down money on the car and IFFFFF the owner or salesmanager signs the
Contractthen if the car EVER comes in then you should get it for the price that says on the
contract.Yes the dealer might want MORE money when the car comes in for some people that ordered the car....
But if you have the Owner or Salesmanager Signed the contract,and it also has a price that you are paying for it,then the car will be yours....
If the dealer ever gets the car and trys to jack the price up then you can take the dealer to court and you will win...
But if there is NO price on the Contract or the Owner or Salesmanager has NOT signed the contract,then you will be out of luck......
