new srt challenger or ss camaro ?? who has got the better look and performance....i think its a close race....but what do you think? both cars looking good....

 

he new Srt Challenger looks good and all but when it comes to performance it's a waste of money. From what Car and Driver said this car has 425hp and the mustang gt has 300hp but the challenger runs close to the same times as a mustang. Seems to me it would be a waste to pay $35+ grand for the same performance you get for $25 grand.

Just my 2 cents and I am in no way a ford guy.

 

The GT "held it's own" because it weighed less.

Mustang GT500:.. HP: 500, Weight: 3920, 0-60: 4.5, 1/4: 12.9
Challenger SRT-8: HP: 425, Weight: 4140, 0-60: 4.8, 1/4: 13.3
Mustang GT:....... HP: 300, Weight: 3540, 0-60: 5.1, 1/4: 13.8

The GT500 is heavy too. But ,the GT500 has more HP and weighs less than the Challenger and edges out the SRT-8.

The Challenger is fat and overweight. Lighten it up and youll take the GT500 and crush the GT.

 

Yea I 100% agree with you. I was just talking from a money perspective.

 

heh, i'll take the 09 SRT8 challenger any day of the week....6.1 with M/T....or just wait till 2011 ....didn't hear it from me tho lol

don't get me wrong i love the newer mustangs but i think i'd take the srt8 challenger over one anyday. manual for sure, with some nice loud exhaust.

can't wait to see em' on the road... or maybe to own one?
