Default add gas/spring option to hood

Just bought 2010 RT, came with manual rod support. Would like to mod it with gas/springs. Pivot ball is already on the hood, but not on fender. There are holes where I think
the pivot ball should mount, but hole has no threads . Anybody know what i am missing?

Yes you are missing those, and I have set of the ball stud screw ins if you're interested (pm me). You can source the gas shocks anywhere (like Rockauto). 2005 LX's came standard with them, but then for some reason for LX & LC through like 2010 or so didn't come with it.

Default Studs

Magnoom, I tried to PM you about the studs you have, but I don't know if it went through. I am interested. I found out a person can either take the studs & self tap into the holes or pre tap the hole my method of choice.

I didn't see it, but the studs are designed to tap as they screw in. Did you check out the Amazon link I posted above?

Default Done

The Amazon set might be cheap, but they work great, I went ahead & ran a tap just to give more surface area on threads
