hi everyone, I bought a brand new 2019 dodge challenger RT (have had the car for not even 2 months with 1600 miles) and upon cleaning my car yesterday I noticed what looks like a rock chip on the right side of my front bumper, I’m here today to get recommendations on how to correct or fix this.
it’s not huge (think it only chipped the clear coat and not so much the paint) but it’s noticeable to me and when you get real close to the bumper I feel you can see it.
am i able to get a new OEM pre painted bumper sent to me directly from @DodgeCares cause i don’t want to go to a body shop and have 2 different colors on the car or have it look worse after getting it fixed via a body shop.
i love this car and it’s like a lamborghini to me, I really appreciate and value having this & tbh i don’t want to own another car an wish to keep this vehicle for life. chip angle 1 chip angle 2

Reason: need help and want to clarify the problem and tag the owners of dodge
Talk to a body shop. Repairing the plastic, and getting the paint to blend properly with what's already there requires a specific technique.....
But, something to keep in mind, that IS going to continue to happen......
what kind of technique do you think could fix an issue like this?.
also I acknowledge what you’re saying, but i really care for this car & i would prefer to have this car in mint condition for as long as possible (a year at most atleast) and i would be willing to buy and brand new front bumper if I was able to get one from @DodgeCares pre painted in destroyer grey but I know that parts come unpainted & I really don’t want to have two different colors, i wish to have everything OEM and I’m trying to find a way to accomplish this and need help.
if I’m able to get this fixed and look like nothing ever happened, i am going to try and buy that 3M clear wrap to protect the car because i made a huge mistake by not getting it sooner
but it sucks getting a new car (first new car I ever owned) and it gets damaged, like when something bad happens to my car I get hurt a little inside as well and it’s always on my mind and I can’t seem to not think about it & just feels like my car is ruined, like for example:
The first week of having my car I found a door ding in my passenger side door and I was really upset but I called my dealership and they hooked me up with a dent repair guy who specialized in paintless dent repair and after it looked like nothing ever happened.
and i wonder if others go through the same thing I go through and I also wonder do these things happen to exotic car owners as well?

Reason: forgot to add this is my first owned new car
I understand where you are coming from. It's your baby. You want it to stay perfect.
I suck at body work. That's why I made friends with a couple guys that were really good at it. (both retired now though......) So taking advice from me on that topic is a bad plan. Best bet would be to go and visit one of your local body shops, they should happily give you a free estimate on repairs. I think the wrap is a good idea. I may not prevent all of them, but, it will certainly help.

Hi bape,
I have seen your pictures and the rock chip on your front bumper. If you wish to get a new bumper or any parts please contact your local dealer. They are in the best position to provide assistance with OEM colors and parts. Our team is just a PM away if you are in need of any additional support for that process.
