Your name is on the title. You own the car, the bank has a lien on the car. The bank really doesn't care if you are driving it or not. Stop making payments on it, and they will repossess it, and then sue you. And you will lose. Your issue is with Dodge. Contact Dodge Customer care, and have a chat with them.

 

Your loan info should have a number for you to call. Or Dodge directly.

 

I can not believe I am reading what I am reading. WTF?? Seriously Scatty619, do you not know how a loan works? The loaner (bank) that lent you the money for your car, could give a rats @$$ about your mechanical problems that you are dealing with. The only people you should be talking to about your car is the dealership and or the manufacture. Again, the lender doesn't care if the car you bought is running or not running, they only care if you can make the payment to them for the money they lent you. You might want to read through your contract including the fine print. I am pretty sure you will find a paragraph stipulating something in regards to what your dealing with and you are still responsible for making your payments on time. Now if you refuse to make those payments because your car is broken, the lender can repossess the car. And still go after you for the money owed on the loan. They will sell the car for what ever they can get and make you pay for the balance of the total amount of the loan. Asking them to forgive you on a loan until the car is fixed. Good luck!
