Hello everyone, I am on the seemingly endless search for my Challenger. I have found a car that is looking promising, but I am a little confused as to its configuration. I need some help deciphering it. According to the window sticker it is a 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack with a 5.7L hemi (?) but is has a 392 Shaker package....I guess I am wondering if this is just for looks I have included the window sticker as an attachment. I thought that the Scat Pack designation only included the 392....
No, you need to reread your window sticker. It is NOT a Scat Pack. It IS an R/T shaker (yes, those are a thing). It would say "Scat Pack" at the top ; price should've clued you in as well. This window sticker doesn't say "Scat Pack" ANYWHERE on it. New Scats are over $40K. This is a regular R/T with a 5.7 and a shaker hood.
Thank you for the information. Here is a link to the listing... https://www.joemausjeep.com/vehicles...cdzbt0kh723220 But why would/does the shaker have "392" on it as opposed to just "shaker" on it? It seems very misleading to me. And please accept my apology....it was not the window sticker but the dealer listing that said it was a Scat Pack....my mistake. And just to clarify, a Scat WOULD only have a 392, correct???
Doesn't actually say anywhere on the dealer page that it's a Scat either. The only thing I see referencing a 392 is the shaker itself. I think that has more to do with the previous owner; either it needed to be replaced or he was a poser. In addition to the shaker, those wheels are 08-10 SRT Challenger 20x9 wheels, not original to this car. Wheels original to that car (as listed in the build sheet - 20X8.0 Satin Carbon Painted Wheels) are these:
Granted, the current wheels are wider and allow for a larger tire but not original.
Correct, an actual Scat would have a 392 in it.
Thank you again for your reply and I am not all at trying to nit picky....but if you will look on the dealer listing where it says "vehicle feature" it lists SCAT PACK. It also says it again under the section heading "About".
Either way, I think that you have helped me to make my decision about this particular car. I think I'm gonna pass on it.
Ahhh ok, I see them now. These idiots should know better, being an actual Mopar dealer. I'd pass on that alone, that and the fact that compared to other Mopar dealer pages I've seen, this gives off a creepy random used car lot vibe. Save this link for later if there's another Mopar you wanna check out, it'll give you the window sticker back to about 2014-15 (not prior) and the build sheet: https://vin.infonavgenie.com/view2
Yes! they absolutely should have known better and when I contacted them to say that I was passing on the car due to the inconsistencies, they actually seemed surprised....SMH
I don't blame you, I passed on a newer 392 Charger that was priced too good to be true, turns out it had been in a "minor" front end collision, had the front 6 pot calipers replaced with the smaller 4 pots and with only 12,000 miles had a brand new carpet....the only explanation I got was that you can't tell that the front end was ever redone. Nothing about the other discrepancies. The build sheet site comes in handy in these situations. If it was built with this, where is it? Why isn't it there? They weren't willing to drop the price at all. I'm sure they suckered someone at some point.
