Default Check Engine Light P1217 & P121B

Hey, what’s going on everyone just a quick question I have a 6.4 2016 Dodge Challenger scatpack, I bought the borla atak with Cat-back and installed it to my car about 4 months ago. 3 days ago my check engine light came on. I took it to dodge to get it ran and they gave me the code -P1217 & P121B- Active Exhaust Valve 1&2 performance. They didn’t help at all all they told me was I’d have to replace my resonator due to my borla atak exhaust, and it would cost me $3,500 for them to take off my exhaust and put back on the stock exhaust which didn’t make sense to me just reaching out to see which direction I should go

Is that exhaust actually designed to work with that vehicle?

Yes the valves are still on, I also did a little bit of research and it seems like I will have to get an “active exhaust delete simulator” which will keep my valves open hopefully that works

Reason I ask is because if the exhaust was considered fully compatible it should have either had provision of the valves to function normally or come with a way to fool the PCM (of which you have neither).

Yes I got the exhaust installed on October 16th 2020. This is the 1st time my check engine light came on, so everything was good for 3 months before this problem happened.
