Default correct oil for 13 challenger - 5.7 motor

bought challenger in june, motor had no tick , sounded perfect, brought to dealer for synthetic oil change last week , got car back and engine is now noisy , mild ticking. question can u run conventual oil in the motor or do u have to run synthetic in these motors. thats the only thing that will quiet the motor down, was wondering if the dealer i bought it from put dino oil instead of syn . looked in owners manual , does'nt say synthetic.

As long as it is the correct weight (which should be 5W-20) it doesn't matter; 5.7 isn't a performance engine. SRT engines are the only ones that get that kind of requirement for quality synthetic.
