Default Alpine sound group 2 upgrade

I had a 2023 Challenger Scat Pack with Harman Kardon sound group 3. I was happy with this sound system. I later traded for a different 2023 Scat Pack more to my liking in all ways except, it came with the Alpine sound group 2 with 506 watt amp and 10 speakers. It has one 8 inch sub in the rear deck. Without the trunk mounted sub with two 10 inch subs in the floor of trunk as with the Harman Kardon, I find that overall bass on some music is a bit lacking. I've investigated several options but am also looking for opinions from other Challenger owners.
Of the many possibilities, I have considered the JL audio stealth box with 12 inch sub mounted on the driver side corner of the trunk with an external amp. Issue there is my Scat has the dynamic suspension module mounted in that location. Would require relocating the suspension module lower in the floor of the trunk to mount the sub solid per JL audio instructions. I've read that some folks just rely on a wedge friction fit of the sub in the corner location. If any readers have had experience with this I'd appreciate more feed back. The other issue with this is the up front cost of the JL Audio sub. Kinda pricey, but quality and sound is supposed to be excellent.
Another option is aquiring a new or used Harman Kardon sub assemblie as fitted from OEM in sound group 3 and driving the subs with an aftermarket amp and volume control.
Another option as many have done is years past is a large more generic sub box and amp with one or two subwoofers in the box. I'm at this point less inclined to consider this option from the stand point of weight and giving up lots of valuable trunk space. That much additional bass might be overkill with the rest of the system stock. Replies and opinions are much appreciated!

How is the current sub driven? Would installing the Harmon-Kardon sub, and just driving it off the existing system work??

I honestly haven't tried my Harman Kardon upgrade - it was simply included with the 2023 Redeye which I'm glad the dealer did as they also included the other two available upgrades (that I know of) = Laguna seats and sun roof. Last Call is last call! :-)

Hellcatter,
Could you please expand on your reply? Did your Challenger come from the factory with the Harman Kardon system or did the dealer add the Harman Kardon subwoofer in the trunk to your vehicle?

HeyYou,
On the Harman Kardon system it's my understanding that it has a roughly 800+ watt amp with 12 channels. 9 channels supply all the speakers in the vehicle and 3 channels supply the sub box with 2 ten inch subwoofers. Thats roughly 70 plus watts to each speaker and 210-220 watts to the sub box woofers. Also, when Harman Kardon refers to the system as having 18 speakers total, it's because the speakers that are two way are counted as two speakers instead of one in a single location. Really it is seemingly an 11 speaker system.
I've not found out any more about the Alpine system other than it has a 506 watt amp and 10 speakers including the single 8 inch sub in the rear package tray deck.
Im not sure of the number of channels or how they are split up in the Alpine system. So far I'm of the opinion the Harman Kardon sub, or any other after market sub, would require additional power from an add on amplifier to perform properly.

Right from the factory, line item on the window sticker, pic of driver side door. I didn't notice anything in the trunk. Shoot, now you've got me wanting to try it out!! :-)
